This CIA document explores the potential reactions of Cuba towards different hypothetical scenarios of the United States’ response after the deployment of Soviet nuclear weapons in Cuba. It also records the number and types of nuclear weapons that the Soviet Union deployed.

This document sheds light on my research question by providing a clear picture of the weighing of interests from the U.S. perspective amid the Cuban Missile Crisis.
